[Widz Track] 여기에 내 맘속에 (Here in My Heart) – 성시경 (Sung Si Kyung)

Again… another post for the day. See, again… it proves how I am on fire these days. There is actually nothing special happened. I got plenty of things to write and all have been jotted down on a note, yet none has really finished yet. There are too many good stuffs that I have been listening so far. Yet, my preference will always change day by day. Yet, not for this one actually. I will always like him, anytime. Hahaha… Let me introduce you to my other side of the story, it is Sung Si Kyung!

Back then, in 2008, I was not that much aware of Korean indie music scene. As a matter of fact, I am still a fan of K-Pop myself. I actually still follow all those hypes of K-pop of idols and stuff but my ears always need to listen to something different. And so the exploration of Korean music began. Sung Si Kyung was a part of the journey. My first encounter with the very own Ballad Prince happened when I listened to 여기에 내 맘속에 (Here in My Heart), a very nice song about forgetting somebody you loved XD, as explained here.



He has been active for almost 10 years until now. First debuted as a winner of an internet audition, he has released 6 Korean albums with 3 special albums, in which 1 special album was released in Japan. Since he is quite famous already, so the complete information can be easily found here.

He is truly a ballad singer. With a very soft yet powerful voice. I never get bored listening to this guy. Since I knew quite late about him from his 6th album, Here in My Heart, I grew to be fond of him from his new songs instead of the old ones. Thus, at that time, I had a lot of things to catch up to be able to know him better. And the search ended up making me falling in love with this one ‘좋을텐데’ (It will be Good) from his 2nd Album ‘Melodie D’Amour’ (quite a title of a ballad singer, right? :D).



He went to the army in 2008. So, I did not have the chance to get a glimpse of him when I first came to Seoul at that time. Yet, since he just have been released from the army last month, I really hope to get a chance to catch his live performance soon. He is currently preparing for an album, yet no official date is released. I just hope not too long though. An-absolutely-must-see performance of this year for me.
